Airing for seven seasons between 2007 and 2015, the Showtime series Nurse Jackie followed Jackie Peyton (Edie Falco), a tough-as-nails emergency room nurse at a fictional NYC hospital. A heck of a nurse with a heck of a bad attitude, what sets her apart is that Jackie isn't afraid to stand up to arrogant doctors like Dr. Cooper (Peter Facinelli) while delivering her uniquely brunt form of love and care to her patients. But Jackie is definitely not a saint. With an ailing back that won't stop hurting, the overworked nurse kills the pain by popping and even snorting some sweet pharmaceuticals. Getting pills is easy for Jackie, considering she’s cheating on her husband (Dominic Fumusa) with the hospital pharmacist (Paul Schulze), her precious pill provider. Our antihero nurse will do plenty of good things, but from forging organ doner cards to stealing her daughter's (Ruby Jerins) pills, the bad stuff she's done just might outweigh it.
