Torremolinos 73 (2003)

The universal language of lust is blended with Spanish and Danish cultures in Pablo Berger’s racy romp Torremolinos 73 (2003). Set at the height of the Golden Age of Porn in 1973, this skinternational flick follows Alfredo López (Javier Cámara). Not only is he an unsuccessful encyclopedia salesman, he’s unable to sire any children with his loving wife Carmen García (Candela Peña). The plot thickens when Alfredo’s company offers him a way to save his job — all he has to do is create an encyclopedic video about human reproduction that’ll be distributed in Scandinavia. In other words, his employers want to crank out porn under the guise of being an educational guide. As such, Alfredo pens an Ingmar Bergman-like screenplay that is also sexy. After he casts his seductive spouse as the leading lady, production is ready to begin, especially when Alfredo is given the funds to hire a professional film crew which includes handsome hunk Magnus (Mads Mikkelsen). When the shoot hits a snafu, Mag must step in to bang Carmen on camera. Before you can say, “that’s a wrap,” Mr. Mikkelsen has unwrapped his clothing. In fact, the hottie sizzles on screen when he engages in a naked fight on the beach. Luckily for us, we get to view the nude dude’s hairy chest and all of the rest — his sack, shaft and ass! Long story short, Magnus impregnates Carmen who has a daughter and her hubby becomes a wedding film director. It’s a happy ending for all!
