Master filmmaker Christopher Nolan must have been impressed since he cast Whitehead as the lead in his critically acclaimed WWII epic Dunkirk (2017). Performing alongside such sexy thespians as Tom Hardy, James D’Arcy, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, Jack Lowden, and Mark Rylance guaranteed the film’s success. In fact, Fionn was nominated for an Empire Award and a London Film Critics’ Circle Award. Next came Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018). Netflix’s science fiction offering was interactive because viewers could make decisions for Fionn’s character. But we found it interactive for other reasons.
