Not only does Sam Page have boy-next-door good looks, he actually was the boy next door. Growing up in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, he played football and baseball and wanted to be a scientist. After high school, he attended Princeton University, where he got his degree in evolutionary biology (his senior thesis was about the mating habits of a female mosquitofish, Mr. Man kids you not. It was even published in a scientific journal). But like all good plans, deviation is inevitable, and Sam gave up the lab for a set, putting his good looks and charm to good use in various primetime series, one soap opera, and a recurring role as Drew Mandel in American Dreams from 2003-2004. From then on, he remained steadily employed, picking up series regular and recurring roles in Point Pleasant from 2005-2006, Shark in 2006-2007, Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl in 2010, various episodes of Mad Men from 2008-2012, Switched at Birth from 2012-2015, House of Cards in 2014, and the part of Richard Hunter in The Bold Type from 2017-2021, where he frolics shirtless, much to our joyful happiness. You won’t find Sam in many places on the big screen, but he’s done a slew of TV movies, usually playing the romantic part in Hallmark flicks like All Things Valentine (2016), Royal New Year’s Eve (2017), Walking the Dog (2017), My One & Only (2019), Christmas in Rome (2019), The Story of Us (2019), and A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love (2020). Now, if only Hallmark started shooting some of these movies in the buff. Who can Mr. Man write a letter to about that?
