Too Close to Home (2016-2017)

Too Close to Home (2016) was Tyler Perry's attempt to merge a coming home story with a political drama, which wasn't too much of a hit since it only lasted for two seasons on TLC starting in 2016. Anna Hayes (Danielle Savre) was a local girl done good when the pride of Happy, Alabama made it all the way to working in the White House. But when President Thomas Christian (Matt Battaglia) has a heart attack while the pair are having an affair in the Oval Office, all Hell breaks loose. Not only is First Lady Katelynn Christian (Heather Locklear) quite pissed off, but when the scandal hits the presses, she becomes a household name. With nowhere else to go, Anna goes slinking back to Bama. But her hometown is a disaster, and her family is a mess. Her sister (Kelly Sullivan) is boning Anna's ex-boyfriend (Brock O'Hurn), her younger sister (Brooke Anne Smith) is a hardcore drunk, and her mom (Trisha Rae Stahl) is a morbidly obese hoarder. And if you think the president isn't going to come calling for the intern that he was sticking it in, you're crazy! We'd love to head home, too, if it meant hotties like Nelson Estevez and Charles Justo were there. The trailer park sure makes them sexy when these boys are shirtless in bed after some hot sex sessions. Nobody knows how to rail her like a dude who grew up in a trailer!
