Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears (2020)

Another chapter in the Miss Fisher saga, following the silver tongued and pearl-handled pistol sporting Aussie detective on another mystery.  This full length feature though find the titular Phryne Fisher (Essie Davis) trying to solve the mystery behind some absolutely priceless emeralds that could in fact be cursed!  This globe trotting 1920s set detective story is based on the Miss Fisher novels by Kerry Greenwood, so serialized adventure is afoot and it takes place primarily in the British occupied Palestine of the time, so there is no shortage of political intrigue and drama surrounding the harrowing adventure.  Lucky for us though, a fellow detective (the sexy Nathan Page) uses his shirt to save Miss Fisher from quick sand and flexes his muscles quite a bit while pulling her from the depths of a dry and slow death with his bursting Aussie arms!
