Faults (2014)

Faults (2014) stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Claire, a naïve young woman that falls prey to the titular group, a mysterious cult that preys on the unaware and misinformed alike. To save their daughter, her concerned parents (Chris Ellis and Beth Grant) hire Ansel Roth (Leland Orser), a washed up mind control expert that was a host of a successful television show and a writer of a popular book, to deprogram their daughter. Nowadays, Ansel goes around promoting his shitty self-published novel and conning restaurants into giving him free meals. With dollar signs in his eyes and debt looming over his head, Ansel agrees to help the stressed out parents. He has Claire abducted, dropped off at a motel room and kept there while he works his dusty magic. Good luck with that.
