Golden Boy (2019)

Golden Boy (2019) follows a young man that meets someone who ramps up his life to one of luxury, gambling, danger, and seduction. James (Mark Elias) is living the worst nightmare of every dude who moves to LA to try and make it big: he's a nobody! Obsessed with the idea that he'll become the man if he can just get seen by someone, one day James runs into the bigshot businessman CQ (Lex Medlin). CQ convinces James that he has all sorts of connections that can get James into any business he wants, show business included. Soon enough, James is all in on helping CQ with whatever he needs to do. Teaming with the handsome bad boy Houston (Logan Donovan), James starts doing some gigs that aren't quite what he expected. When it becomes abundantly clear that CQ is hiding the nature of his business from him, James has to decide between tumbling further and further down this dangerous rabbit hole and going back to life as a nobody that nobody cares about.
