Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

The sci-fi adventure Guardians of the Galaxy was both the first original Marvel property to hit screens in three years, and the biggest box office hit in the US in 2014! Under the direction of James Gunn (who co-wrote the screenplay with Nicole Perlman), Chris Pratt plays Peter Quill (also known as Star-Lord), a human abducted from Earth in the 1980s who has become an intergalactic criminal and hustler with a reputation for being quite the ladies’ man. After stealing a mysterious orb, he’s pursued by the lovely, lethal and green Gamora (Zoe Saldana); Gamora’s sinister sister Nebula (Karen Gillan); the big and bald Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista); the blue-skinned bandit Yondu (Michael Rooker); a sassy cybernetic raccoon called Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper); and a walking tree named Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel). Together, they team up to save the galaxy from the ruthless killer Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), who will stop at nothing to acquire the orb and wipe out an entire planet. Speaking of planets, we can’t help but think of Uranus when Mr. Pace flashes his ass as well as his muscular back and awesome abs just 14 minutes into the pic. The movie also includes Benicio del Toro, Djimon Hounsou, Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Josh Brolin, and the bare chest on Mr. Bautista. Not to be outdone, Mr. Pratt parades his impressive pecs when he dons a pair of shorts that are out of this world. No wonder the movie won a Saturn Award!
