The 28-year-old footballer turned medical sales representative Clayton Echard was just announced as the star of the next season of The Bachelor! Standing at 6' 5" tall, this all-American hunk is one tall drink of water, and we can't wait to see more of him now that he's hit the big time. If you're a fan of The Bachelorette, you know that Clayton has dabbled in reality television previously. He was a contestant on the 18th season of The Bachelorette, where he finished in eighth place. His appearance was enough to make an impression on the ABC execs, because they chose him to star in what's sure to be a very memorable season of The Bachelor if you're into that sort of thing.

But we have more important matters to attend to. Clayton was a tight end for the University of Missouri football team, and was even ever so briefly a pro footballer with the NFL when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks. But they cut him before he got a chance to showcase his tight end skills. Not fair!
