I Do... Until I Don't (2017)

Writer, director and star Lake Bell's I Do...Until I Don't (2019) is a comedy about a British documentary filmmaker (Dolly Wells) that is convinced marriages can only make it about seven years before the itch to leave becomes overwhelming. She even thinks every marriage license should come with a seven-year renewal process where couples either call it a marriage or re-up for another seven. Looking to either prove or refute her theory, she makes a film about three separate married couples at various stages in their relationship. The first couple are Alice (Lake Bell) and Noah (Ed Helms): the middle-aged owners of a blinds business who are struggling to put a bun in Alice's oven. Next are Cybil (Mary Steenburgen) and Harvey (Paul Reiser): two older people dealing with Harvey's midlife crisis that cringingly kicks off with him buying a motorcycle. And last but not least there's Fanny (Amber Heard) and Zander (Wyatt Cenac): a pair of young hippies trying to make their marriage work by adopting all sorts of new agey rules about having sex with other people. Of course, all three couples have their own issues and struggles to work through to try and make their marriages work. Mr. Man has always believed that the key to a good marriage is constantly doing it, so he was happy to hear that I Do...Until I Don't had a sex scene. Ed Helms' character is obsessed with getting his wife pregnant, so that couple is on a strict sex schedule that revolves around when his wife is ovulating. At one point, they're goofing around when Ed's pants start to fall off and he dives between her legs. Nard dog doesn't show the nards, but we do get a good look at Ed Helms' heinie! You like that? I Do...
