Review

Swept up in the wave of Tarantino imitators in the late 90s, Six Ways to Sunday (1997) is an overlooked indie gem with strong supporting work from Blondie's Deborah Harry, Clark Gregg, Isaac Hayes, and an early performance from Adrien Brody! Set in and around the world of the Jewish mafia, the film follows young Harold—played by a young Norman Reedus—as he attempts to escape the shackles of his overly protective mother (Harry). One of the only ways out for a guy like Harold is through the mafia, and after some mid-level guys witness Harold beating up a guy that owed him some money, they take aim at making him one of their own. Although he was pushing 30 when the film was made, Norman Reedus is playing an 18 year old and his baby face and cute shirtless scenes help de-age him by ten years at least!
