Slackers (2002)

The gag-filled, gross-out college comedy Slackers (2002) proves there’s nothing worse than a nerd who doesn’t know when to quit. In this case, the dweeb is Ethan Dulles (Jason Schwartzman), a stalker student so obsessed with his classmate Angela Patton (Jaime King) that at one point he uses a lint brush to collect her hair and make a doll out of it! After Ethan catches the school’s cool kid Dave Goodman (Devon Sawa) cheating on a test, he blackmails Dave into helping him win over Angela. Dave agrees but Ms. Patton winds up falling for him instead of Ethan. As you can guess, a lot of shenanigans follow suit, including a scene which has Ethan giving a topless old lady (played by then 71-year-old Mamie Van Doren) an erotic sponge bath! Speaking of appearing on screen sans shirt, this funny flick features the proverbial locker room setting wherein a bunch of dudes appear in the near nude. As such, we get to peek at the naked pecs on Sam Schechter (Jason Segel) who wears nothing but a towel. The same can be said of Jeff Davis (Michael C. Maronna) except that he dons bulging briefs. Last but definitely not least, Mr. Sawa exposes his torso and tush! The movie also includes Mr. Schwartzman’s skin. In one scene, the lovelorn lad has his chest hair shaved into the shape of an “A” for Angela. We’d say it’s like the Scarlet Letter, except Mr. Man is turning blue thanks to Jason being a tease!
