The Brutalist (2024)

The Brutalist (2024) is an epic tale of ambition, integrity, and the death of the American Dream. Shortly after the end of WWII, Hungarian architect László Tóth (Adrien Brody) emigrates to America, leaving behind his ill wife and fellow Holocaust survivor Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) to establish a life before sending for her. In the meantime, he is commissioned by wealthy industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce) to build a center in honor of his late mother. What ensues is an epic battle of the wills, the classic clash between art and money, with neither side wanting to compromise, setting up a three and a half hour power struggle! The first thing Adrien Brody does when he arrives in America is hit up a brothel to get a handjob, though the penis is prosthetic. Later in the film, he and Felicity Jones are strung out on heroin together and a lengthy love scene ensues that is the work of body doubles! Talk about Brutal!
