Before Alfonso Cuarón’s semi-autobiographical epic Roma (2018) nabbed ten Oscar nominations and three wins (Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director and Best Cinematography), Adolfo Aristarain directed the Argentine-Spanish drama Roma (2004). While it didn’t receive as many accolades, this motion picture did earn a standing ovation in Mr. Man’s pants thanks to the leading man’s flesh flashing. The story begins when up-and-coming journalist Manuel Cueto (Juan Diego Botto) is hired to help aging novelist Joaquín Góñez (José Sacristán) complete his autobiography. As such, Joaquín reminisces about his father (Gustavo Garzón) and, more importantly, about his mother Roma Di Toro (Susú Pecoraro) whose influence inspired him to follow his dreams. Indeed, Joaquín had meaningful experiences while living it up in Buenos Aires during the 1960s and ’70s. As he gets into the details, we meet Alicia (Marina Glezer), Áteo Di Toro (Vando Villamil), Betty (Carla Crespo), Doctor Cassano (Raúl Rizzo), Guido (Maximiliano Ghione), Gustavo Smirnoff (Marcos Mundstock), Joaco (Agustín Garvíe), Pando (Jean Pierre Noher), and Reneé (Marcela Kloosterboer). The movie also includes a clip of screen legend Henry Fonda in The Grapes of Wrath (1940). Even though that’s a Hollywood classic, the true star of this flick is Señor Botto’s bare body! Throughout the pic, the handsome hunk touts his taut torso in the bed, bath and beyond! In one scene, he dons skimpy skivvies. In another, he shows off his raw rump. If that’s not proof of his sexiness, Juan Diego sucks on a cigarette. In other words, he’s literally smoking hot!
